As successor to last year’s H10 model, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 digital camera is very popular in digital camera market. It has a new menu system that makes operation easier, a pleasing combination of shooting features, and some valuable extras such as 720p HD-quality movie capture with use of its 10x zoom lens. The two auto modes Easy and Intelligent Auto Adjustmentin Sony H20 are very special. Intelligent Auto Adjustment mode is labeled with a lowercase ‘i’ followed by a camera icon. In this mode, the camera analyses the scene in front of the lens and picks the scene mode it deems appropriate. Besides, there is a separate SCN setting on the mode dial if you want to pick the desired scene mode yourself.
And the most important thing that I want to mention is the LCD. It is so gorgeous that it remains visible even in direct sunligh. The four-way controller provides multi-functions. The Left button gives access to the macro mode, the Down key brings up the self-timer options, the Right arrow controls the flash mode and the Up button cycling through the various display settings.
The pros: Elegant design; easy operation; afforable price
The cons: Narrow lens; lens cap is just so-so.
