Announced in August 2008, Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T77 Digital Camera is still favored in digital camera market. With dimension 93.6 x 57.2 x 15mm and weight 126g , Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is about $300. Now, let us have a brief review:
Featured a slim 10.1 Megapixel compact with a 4x optically-stabilised lens and a 3in touch-sensitive widescreen display, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 Digital Camera delivers impressive performance. Shutter lag is particularly excellent, at 0.3 seconds in brightly lit conditions and 0.6 seconds in dim. From off to first shot takes 2.1 seconds and it’s ready to take another photo in 2.2 seconds. Turning on the flash only drives that time up to 2.8 seconds. The T77 also has a good burst speed of 1.7 frames per second.
Besides, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is outstanding in colour, white balance and contrast at low ISO sensitivities. There’s some visible lens distortion on the left side, which is common in this class of cameras. Photos printed up to 8×10 inches in size are of fine quality, but all the T77’s photos generally look soft.
However, the ISO of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is not so good. We are able to set the ISO only between 80 and 400. If you intend to shoot at higher ISOs, you’ll have to switch to High Sensitivity mode where the camera will determine what settings to shoot in, with the maximum ISO being 3,200.
Pros:
Good resolution, nice Macro mode, excellent digital zoom and optical image stabilization. Good printed output, with decent sharpness at 13×19 inches and excellent shutter response times
Cons:
Inconsistent touchscreen icon behavior, weak flash, moderate chromatic aberration at both ends of the zoom range, having a little difficulty with household incandescent lighting, no HDTV cable, poor low light performance, and below-average battery life.
