Samsung Denies Quitting Symbian OS

With the launch of the bada operating system by Samsung. There are more and more rumours hitting the net waves. It is rumored that Samsung will quit operation systems such as the Symbian and WinMo while only leaving Android and Bada.

While the Samsung have declared a statement three days ago to deny these rumours. “Samsung has not made any change in its strategy of supporting multiple open operating systems. We believe this strategy continues to provide consumers with a variety of choices of rich mobile content and applications. To provide more choices to meet consumers’ many different taste and preference, we will continue our ‘multi-OS’ strategy‘.” Said by the Sumsung officials.

“As an an initial member of Symbian Foundation, Samsung continues to cooperate with Symbian Foundation. Windows Mobile is also an established operating system with solid market position and its own set of strengths. Samsung will continue working closely with Microsoft to provide a range of continually evolving Windows Mobile based smartphones in the coming years.”

With the above statement, we can know that Sumsung continutes to support to not only Symbian but also various existing open operating systems such as Linux, Android, and Windows Mobile.

What’s more, Sumsung company will continue with their “multi-OS strategy” to satisfied the demands of different people. So whatever you are the Symbian fans or the fans of other operation systems, you can set your mind at rest and neglect the rumours.
