You may see some information appear if you boot the XBOX. You may wonder what the meaning of these information are.The following will show you the answer.

0 – any – No error (duh)
1 – bootldr – Unknown exactly, something to do with checking the motherboard
2 – bootldr – Eeprom check failed
3 – bootldr – ??/not used
4 – bootldr – Ram check failed
5 – kernel – HDD not locked (retail bioses require the hd to be locked)
6 – kernel – Cannot unlock HDD
7 – kernel – HDD timeout
8 – kernel – No HDD found
9 – kernel – HDD parameters (PIO/DMA/or size {debug}, certain size minimum is required for debug)
10 – kernel – DVD timeout
11 – kernel – No DVD Founnd
12 – kernel – DVD parameters (PIO/DMA)
13 – kernel – Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn’t specify why it failed.
14 – dashboard – Error loading dashboard (dashboard generic error)
15 – - ??/not used
16 – dashboard – Other files to do with dashboard / dashboard settings (specific dashboard error)
17 – - ??/not used
18 – - ??/not used
19 – - ??/not used

20 – kernel – The dashboard was attempted to load and failed. It was a cold boot, and the dashboard didn’t specify why it failed, but it (for some reason) needed to be noted that the dvd passed the challenge/response authentication.

21 – anywhere – This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag.

I hope the above is helpful for you.

Models: PSP 1000
Phenomenon: There is no reflection while booting, no current
Analysis and processing: No-voltage when starting , if this aircraft has entered the water, observe carefully, found there is mold in the boot board, cleaning, if no change, you may found a hole, and use line to link up, plus electricity, the boot-line normal, boot, it’s OK now! The machine which over the water, will apear above phenomenon after the shutdown, because the boot line has had a 2V5 voltage and never liquidate watermarks in time.

Models: PSP 1000
Phenomenon: There is no reflection while booting, and no current.
Analysis and processing: It is normal that Power line voltage (2V5), boot voltage probably change, testing I / O clock 32.768MHZ, I / O power supply (2V5) is normal, analysis crystal may bad or sealing-off. Heating repair welding or replace , boot, current is 0.16A, everything is normal. The crystal is relatively small, it is easier sealed off or damaged by force or get water.

Models: PSP 2006
Symptoms: Boot all operating normally, there are two fixed flowers on the middle of left screen
Analysis and processing: You must have met these problem before, it just fine for replanting the LCD driver IC or CPU.

Models: PSP 2006
Symptoms: You can watch movies, listen to MP3 but can not play the game (the PSP become death when entering the game)
Analysis and processing: It maybe a CPU solder point threw off, you need to repair welding and replanting CPU.

Models: PSP 2000
Symptoms: Current is normal when startup, boot-free images, automatic shutdown in several moments
Analysis and processing: This is a typical software failures, mostly is the users mistakenly deleted some files or formatted F0/F1 in upgradeing or adjusting settings. Don’t Panic, do not operate blindly, finding a good PSP2006, it must be a small one, to backup of its NAND file, then back up your NAND (this step is very important, do not forget, or else your PSP can only be used as MP4), to re-partition your PSP with the tools, put the whole NAND to your repair, make V3 to 371M33-2, now you may see images but can not support playing games. It will tell you that the game region code error, this is SONY’s NAND lock then you should use that NAND backup, and then to back up your NAND where ID is written to your PSP. Note: It is ID, not all, or else will be beaten back to the original line, exhausted your PSP to the original time of purchase. Remember, back up your new NAND , if there is a problem, brush back! If you are a player, it is best to let seller to help you.

Model: PSP 1005
Failure phenomenon: start slow, drive back and forth constantly moving
Analysis and processing: From the phenomenon of view, CD-ROM driver IC should be no problems, failure from the former class that is CXD2056, this machine may be drop to the floor, due to relatively large size of the IC by a strong vibration, there would be part of the solder joints off, remove the IC, found that on some pads from the PCB board, repair welding, re-planting IC in BGA, solder back, boot, CD-ROM, normal maintenance and found that the machine which has dropped to the floor, with the largest IC pads are easy to throw off opened, there was a very small number of the power management IC throw off (just as PSP1000; PSP2000)
