We can type in a normal speed after a few minutes of use. The touchpad has a slightly rough surface so it is not very easy for us to get the cursor across the screen.

There is some protective material covered on the keyboard to protect it. The touchpad features a bar at the bottom for the left and right mouse buttons. It is slightly recessed from the palmrest by about 1mm, giving a defined lip around the entire perimeter which can help you keep your finger inside the detection zone, and not slipping out.
